An Environmentally Friendly Dry Cleaning
Experience Comes to Lake Forest
Customers who bring their garments to Lake City Cleaners (LCC) can rest assured that their clothing will be treated in a high-quality environment. Co-owned by Victor and Janice Seyedin, LCC is known for its state-of-the-art equipment and its dedication to “green” dry cleaning practices. Lucky for Lake Foresters, they will be able to get in on the action too, as a new location is opening up through the acquisition of Murrie Cleaners and Furriers at 866 N. Western Ave. in Lake Forest. “We are excited to combine Murrie’s leather and fur handling expertise into our already established practices” said Victor Seyedin. “Items made of fur are luxurious and should be handled accordingly. It is vitally important to both clean and condition furs and leathers on a regular basis”, Seyedin adds.
With additional locations in Highland Park, and Evanston, LCC provides high-quality dry cleaning services for the entire North Shore, as well as downtown Chicago. LCC offers three levels of dry cleaning: Classic Care (for basic, everyday clothing), Monarch Care (for high-quality garments), and Fleur De Lis Care (for fine couture that requires hand-finishing).
Tom James Company, the world’s largest manufacturer and retailer of custom clothing, has created a display of their product line in the Lake Forest store. Vice President David Christopher is so impressed by LCC’s business that he refers all of his clients to them. “Lake City Cleaners is able to provide the quality of care and service that our clothing deserves.” says Christopher. “They have been a valued partner for years to whom I have been able to refer my customers with confidence.”
In addition to the extra-special attention paid to each and every piece of clothing, LCC is also a proponent of “green” technologies and solvents that are easy on both the fabric and the environment. While technology plays an important role in the quality of a dry cleaning business, the people behind the scenes are also vital to the entire process. Most LCC employees have 30 or 40 years of dry cleaning experience and the tailors are highly skilled, doing alterations for several major retail accounts and maintains close relationships with Chicago’s top boutiques and high-end couturiers.
